Travel & Site Administrator [Canada]


 

We are looking for an individual to join our team. The Travel & Site Administrator will report to the HR & Administration Manager or designate (your “Supervisor”). This is a vital, busy, and varied role so you must be highly organized and have plenty of initiative. You will be tasked with ensuring travel and administration functions are carried out with a high level of quality service and support to team members.

This is a remote (work from home) position supporting the Keno Hill Mine in Elsa, Yukon. Preference will be given to candidate in the Calgary area. There will be occasional travel to site as required.

RESPONSIBILITES

  • Main point of contact for all travel related inquiries/requests for employees and site contractors
  • Work closely with our travel agent on questions, inquiries and booking changes.
  • Coordinate daily & weekly travel into and out of the Keno Hill Mine including manifests, room assignments, charter bookings, shuttle bookings (as required), hotel bookings (as required).
  • Liaise with our camp contractor on room booking assignments.
  • Provide support to departments in entering purchase requisitions into eMaint.
  • Preparing and documenting department processes to provide strong business support.
  • Site administration support to all other departments as required.
  • Identify opportunities to create efficiencies with processes and help all departments at site.
  • Provide weekend coverage for travel & camp logistics.
  • Occasional administrative support to the Human Resources team with letters, job change forms and reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 5+ year experience working in a fast-paced environment, be able to handle ambiguity.
  • Previous experience working in remote construction or mine site considered an asset.
  • Diploma or degree in administration an asset
  • Strong sense of integrity, initiative, and confidentiality
  • Exceptional skills with Excel are a must and ability to learn new programs quickly.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a self-starter.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize workloads.
  • Must have a ‘team’ attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
